This unit is about vector. We have learned about adding and subtracting vectors. Also, we have learned the effect of vectors.
To demonstrates the forces, we use masses to hang at each chord ends which were hanged to the pulley clipped at the edge of the force table. The force table has the angle measurement labelled. We hung three pulleys with masses at different angles to find out the combination of forces at the angles that makes the equilibrium. This lab had made forces and its effects virtual. The masses hung at the end of the chords demonstrates the gravitational force and the ring in the middle of the three forces shows its results. What we have found in the lab is that if there is any changes made to the angles or masses, the result will be different even though the changes were very little. Therefore, in science, the accuracy is the most important thing in experiment. |
